Well, ladies, I never thought I was in the race but I guess baby sure was.

I am so excited to announce the arrival of Allison Mae Young, born May 30, 1998 at 2:46 am, weighing a healthy 6 lbs. 2.5 ozs. and 19.5 inches long.

Water broke at 11 pm on Fri. nite; got to hospital at 12:10 am; doc. on duty wanted to start pitocin since 'tractions weren't too close(5 mins.) but I said no; went from 2 cm. to 10 by 2:30 am and with 7-8 pushes out came baby!! Dh was quite shocked. Definitely was not ready for baby to be so early. I feel jipped that I didn't get to do the nesting stuff(house needs it badly) or buy big brother gift, etc. Well, I always did say that when the school yr. ended, baby could come anytime. Friday was the last day. Careful what you wish for sometimes I guess. I am so glad she is here though. She is so precious and beautiful.

We are home and my milk came in today but of course she decides to sleep and not want to nurse. Nite/days mixed up. UGH!

Just wanted to let everyone know I was doing okay. I will try to catch up on all the posts. Congrats to all who have also delivered and a speedy one to all to come.
