Dax is my 3rd child but my 1st son...whom I adore!!!!!! He is BIG (like his daddy) and VERY physically talented...very strong! We can't wait for him to be playing Football for UCLA!!!! He LOVES to eat...he eats more than his sisters!
Here's my birth story...
I woke up Sunday, June 14th and got ready for church as usual...but was having a little problem with my stomach...I thought it was just the hamburger I had the nite before...I got to church around 11 and started noticing the pain was about 5 min apart...but I wasn't really paying attention...I hadn't had any show...My water was still intact...I have had too many false labors to get excited anymore. Soon they were about 3 min apart and feeling like menstrual cramps...I decided to go to my parents and lie down to see if they would stop...about 2 contractions later I couldn't walk anymore... So we all drove back to the church...I got my husband out of the Sunday School class that he was teaching and my baby out of the nursery and we headed off to the hospital...It is about 12:45 and we live 30 min from hospital w/ no traffic...Of course this is Sun. and on Pacific Coast Highway there is plenty of beach traffic...We get to the Hospital ...huffing and puffing...at 1:30 I get hooked up to the monitor...all is well...my Dr. is stuck 1 hour away so the resident Dr. checks me and I am 7 cm...Then by 2:15 I get to push...waters still intact which I thought curious but she is the Dr....she knows...I push a few...She breaks the water...I bring my legs up and out POPS baby Dax!!!!!!!!!!! Literally he was coming out soooooo fast they told me not to push so I wouldn't tear...and I didn't. His name is Dax Christopher...7lbs.10oz. 19 1/2 inches long...Blonde all over...even his eyelashes. (his sisters both had dark brown hair) And I think he has my blue eyes...but we will wait and see. I did it again w/ no drugs or intervention I was so thrilled...Recovery has been a dream...I stayed the full 48 hours...which I recommend to pamper yourself...The nurses will do anything for you.
