Birth Story for Danielle Nicole
Born on June 24th 98

On June 23rd I had gone in for my checkup, I had to go every other day, thanks to my daughters stubborn streak even before birth. When I went in for the NST(Non-Stress Test) she wasn't responding the way she should be to sounds and stuff like that. So they did an ultrasound, still not the response they wanted. The doctor told me rather than waiting until tomorrow, they were going to induce me today. I was in shock, he said you can go home and pick up some neccessities. So, that's what I did, I went home, packed up everything I needed, or thought might help with the labor. We arrived to the hospital at 3:30, I had a wonderful nurse there waiting for me named Dee. She told me she'd been waiting for me. They already had a beatiful room waiting. They started the pitocin as soon as I got into the bed, boy did that take effect FAST! The anesthisiologist had put a cathedar in my back just incase I decided to have an epidural later. (Was I ever grateful for that)

Around 2:30 in the morning they had to increase the pitocin because I was definately in hard labor, but wasn't dialating any, so with the increase came more pain...Did I mention my labor was back labor? Around 5 am the doctor came back to see how I was doing, only 7 centimeters dialated. At 10 am, the doctor came back again, saying that I may have to have a c-section due to my height. But being that I was now 10 centimeters dialated, so he wanted to see how my labor went. Around 1:30 they told me they were doing a c-section, my blood pressure was running too high, and I was running a pretty bad fever. So they took my husband away from me, so he could go into the operating room with me. He came in and saw me shaking really bad (thanks to those drugs that they give you) he asked me if I was cold, and still shaking said no. (did I mention they strapped my arms down?...they said it was just incase I decided to help in the operation.) At 1:50 pm. on June 24th, my little Angel was delivered via C-Section. It took about 3 hours before they let me see her, but she was really healthy, all 9 lbs. 6 oz., 21 1/2 inches of her.

That's my little Angel. She's the light of me and my husbands lives. We sometimes wish she wouldn't get as cranky, but even with the crankiness...we wouldn't trade her in for the world
